Canon UK, world leader in imaging solutions, has announced the launch of the Canon imageFORMULA DR-3010C, its first 30 page per minute desktop workgroup scanner and Canon’s fastest scanner in this category. The tough and durable scanner is aimed at small and medium-sized businesses, the DR-3010C enables users to easily capture, file and share office documents in a variety of formats.

REIGATE, August 18, 2008 - Canon UK, world leader in imaging solutions, has today announced the launch of the Canon imageFORMULA DR-3010C, its first 30 page per minute desktop workgroup scanner and Canon’s fastest scanner in this category. The DR-3010C is suitable for both intensive, mission-specific tasks such as the processing of invoices or forms, as well as everyday, ad hoc scanning requirements.

Aimed at small and medium-sized businesses, the DR-3010C enables users to easily capture, file and share office documents in a variety of formats. Users can pre-programme nine separate tasks through the advanced job panel’s one-touch buttons. Daily tasks, such as scan to email, printer or searchable PDF, can be performed at the touch of a button, saving valuable time and boosting worker productivity.

The robust and reliable DR-3010C is able to handle demanding workloads, with a recommended daily duty cycle of up to 3,000 scans a day. The scanner also offers increased efficiency with advanced processing features including text orientation recognition, auto-resize and deskew, as well as auto-colour detection that can reduce the captured file size, allowing for faster scanning and processing of business documents.

The DR-3010C also comes with a comprehensive software bundle including CapturePerfect, OmniPage, PaperPort, and Adobe Acrobat Standard enabling users to scan, file and manage their scanned documents. Users also receive BizCard Reader, which scans and tags business cards to create a fully searchable database of contacts.
